On behalf of the good people of Pax Christi Parish, I'd like to welcome you to our website and our faith community. I am the pastor, Fr. Joe Fogal who shares the mission of Jesus with a talented and caring staff. Our parish has a history of social justice ministry and outreach to the poor. Our liturgies strive to proclaim the Word and sing loud the praise of God. We are especially blessed by our faith formation, youth and young adult ministry which attract many to our programs. We are also fortunate to be part of the Rochester Area Catholic Schools K-12 system. Please browse our site and see what we have to offer you. I'd like to invite you to pray, sing and celebrate with us and experience Christ alive in this community and in your life.
Thanks for checking us out!
The Catholic Ministries Appeal (formerly know as the Annual Diocesan Appeal) offers a unique opportunity for you to give back to the God of Love, from whom all things are given. Grow closer to Christ by doing your part to build up His Church in love. For 24 years, the Appeal has funded ministries to invite more than 147,000 individuals each year to encounter Christ and embrace His Church. Please give generously to this year's Appeal (www.catholicfsmn.org/Appeal).
Thank you to those who have responded. Currently, we have pledges of $50,757 from 167 families (almost 11% of our parishioners) toward our goal of $92,170. ,
Pledge forms were mailed to homes or you may pick one up in the Gathering Space or in the Parish Office. The Catholic Church serves the needs of many people across southern Minnesota. While some of these services are offered at the parish level, it is often more effective when many join together in ministry and service of the people of our diocese. Each diocesan ministry exists to support and further the work of our local parishes. For questions, please contact the Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota at 507-858-1275.
Calvary Cemetery continues to provide sacred, beautifully landscaped Catholic burial grounds in Rochester. In 2004 Rochester Catholic parishes initiated an annual collection to assist with cemetery improvements including purchase of additional space for future needs. While regular cemetery business receipts provide ordinary income, they do not allow for the cost of additional needs and enhancements desirable for Christian burial. The cemetery is very grateful for your past support and requests your generosity in this year’s collection May 16-17, 2015. For your convenience, a Calvary Cemetery envelope is provided in your mailing.
