On behalf of the good people of Pax Christi Parish, I'd like to welcome you to our website and our faith community. I am the pastor, Fr. Joe Fogal who shares the mission of Jesus with a talented and caring staff. Our parish has a history of social justice ministry and outreach to the poor. Our liturgies strive to proclaim the Word and sing loud the praise of God. We are especially blessed by our faith formation, youth and young adult ministry which attract many to our programs. We are also fortunate to be part of the Rochester Area Catholic Schools K-12 system. Please browse our site and see what we have to offer you. I'd like to invite you to pray, sing and celebrate with us and experience Christ alive in this community and in your life. Thanks for checking us out! Fr. Joe
Now that Christmas Day has passed, the presents have been opened, and the feast has been prepared (and eaten!), it's time to take down the Christmas tree, pack up the decorations, and start dreaming about next Christmas, right? No! Christmas has only just begun.
In the church calendar Christmas Day is only the beginning. In an earlier time Christmas lasted for 12 days-a tradition from which we get the famous Christmas song. Even though our American culture quickly moves on to the next holiday, our Catholic tradition has much to offer in order to help us celebrate the season of Christmas. Click Here for a few suggestions for you and your family to make the Christmas season a more complete experience and deepen your Catholic identity.
The Pax Christi Knights of Columbus council #14145 is a community of more than 90 Catholic men from Pax Christi parish who are committed to grow in faith together through fellowship, prayer and volunteer efforts. We focus on supporting our parish, the youth and many other ministries of Pax Christi and throughout Rochester. We are also a part of the worldwide Knights of Columbus organization that was established in 1882 by Fr. Michael McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut. Should you have questions or would like to ask how to join the Knights of Columbus, please contact Jim Lundholm at 288-1583 or Ken Linn at 287-1095.
