Liturgy of the Word

Liturgy of the Word for Children is a celebration of each Sunday's Gospel to help young children understand the Word of God.  Children's Liturgy of the Word is open to children ages 3 through Grade 2, at the 5:15 pm Saturday Mass.  The Liturgy of the Word is a time when children go with a leader to a classroom and participate in the Scripture readings.  The readings are explored with a homily at their level.  The children leave the Mass before the readings and return after the homily.  This way, they are able to participate in the rest of the Mass.  Children receive a worksheet pertaining to the readings of the week.   To volunteer for this Ministry, please call Debbie Ramirez at 287-9016 (home) or debbie.ramirez@paxchristichurch.org
